Aurora Cloud Clinic currently offers the following virtual mental health day programs.
Finding Your Path is a virtual day program for individuals with severe and enduring eating disorders (SE‑ED). Delivered online via Microsoft Teams over eight weeks, the program offers weekly sessions focused on improving quality of life rather than symptom elimination alone. Using evidence‑based approaches such as CBT, DBT, creative art therapy, dietetics and exercise physiology, participants develop practical skills to manage symptoms, reduce harm and build emotional resilience. The program promotes self‑compassion, body awareness, creative expression and meaningful connection within a supportive online environment. Medical and psychiatric clearance is required prior to participation.
This group therapy program is designed for individuals aged 16 and over with a diagnosis of Binge Eating Disorder (BED) who wish to develop a curious and compassionate understanding of their eating behaviours. The program provides a supportive environment to explore the factors that maintain binge eating and related symptoms. Through shared experiences and guided therapeutic intervention, participants build practical skills to interrupt binge‑eating patterns, establish healthier eating behaviours, manage difficult emotions and restructure unhelpful thought patterns. The program also supports the development of positive self‑relationships and more effective coping strategies to support long‑term wellbeing.
Our Virtual Trauma Skills Program is a structured, supportive 12-week group designed to help individuals better understand and manage the impacts of trauma. Delivered online, the program combines education, practical strategies, and clinical guidance to build skills in emotional regulation, self-care, and symptom management. Participants learn to identify trauma-related patterns, reduce avoidance, manage triggers, and develop effective coping techniques. With a focus on stabilisation and preparation for deeper therapeutic work, the program provides a safe and collaborative environment to support recovery, enhance insight, and strengthen resilience alongside others with shared experiences.
This program is an introduction to Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and offers a flexible, accessible way to learn and practice DBT skills from the comfort of your own space. We assist participants to tolerate intense feelings, regulate emotions, and manage self-destructive behaviours, using a combination of structured lessons, interactive group sessions, and practical strategies you can apply in everyday life. It can also be useful for individuals who experience symptoms of impulsivity, frequent interpersonal conflict, and difficulty coping with stressful situations. Whether you’re new to DBT or continuing your journey, we provide a supportive environment to build resilience, improve coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. It is held every Thursday evening from 5:30pm – 8:30pm for 12 weeks with a Clinical Psychologist.
Addictions First Steps is a 10-week virtual group therapy program designed for individuals experiencing challenges with substance use and their mental health such as depression, anxiety or PTSD. It is suitable for those early in change, revisiting foundational skills, or following a recent lapse or escalation in use. Whilst the group supports those striving for abstinence, we understand that change is not always linear and therefore focuses on building insight, stability, and sustainable progress. For individuals still contemplating the concept of abstinence, we provide risk minimisation strategies by supporting participants to better understand their patterns of use, reduce associated risks, and work toward personally meaningful goals. Using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed principals, participants build skills and insight into their experiences. This includes understanding their window of tolerance, the cycle of addiction, identifying triggers, coping with urges, and developing relapse prevention and distress tolerance strategies.
