Structured care, delivered virtually

Aurora Cloud Clinic’s Virtual Day Programs provide an alternative to hospital-based treatment for people who require more support than traditional outpatient care.

Programs are delivered in real time via secure video conferencing and follow evidence-based treatment models used across Aurora Healthcare’s hospital network. Our virtual format allows participants to engage in structured therapy while remaining at home and connected to daily life.

Virtual day programs may suit people who:

  • Need intensive, structured mental health support
  • Are medically stable
  • Prefer flexible, at-home treatment
  • Want to minimise travel and disruption

Our virtual day programs

Aurora Cloud Clinic currently offers the following virtual mental health day programs.

Eating Disorder Virtual Day Program - Finding Your Path

Finding Your Path is a virtual day program designed for individuals with severe and enduring eating disorders (SE-ED). Delivered online via Microsoft Teams over eight weeks, the program provides weekly 2.5-hour sessions focused on improving quality of life through evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, creative art therapy, dietetics, and exercise physiology.

Participants will gain practical skills to manage symptoms, reduce harm, and foster emotional resilience. The program encourages self-compassion, creative expression, body awareness, and connection with others in a supportive online community. Medical and psychiatric clearance is required prior to enrolment.

Binge Eating Disorder Virtual Day Program

A program specifically designed to support people experiencing binge eating behaviours and loss-of-control eating.

How virtual treatment works

  1. Referral from an Aurora‑credentialed psychiatrist
    A referral is obtained from any psychiatrist credentialed across Aurora Healthcare hospitals, confirming suitability for a virtual day program. View more their list of hospitals here;
  2. Enquiry or referral received
The referral is sent to Aurora Cloud Clinic or an enquiry is lodged on the patient’s behalf.
  3. Clinical assessment conducted online
An Aurora Cloud Clinic clinician completes a comprehensive virtual assessment to ensure the program is clinically appropriate and safe.
  4. Health fund eligibility confirmed
Our admissions team assists with private health insurance checks and explains any potential out‑of‑pocket costs.
  5. Commence virtual day program
The participant joins scheduled sessions via a secure online platform and begins structured treatment from home.

Designed for flexibility. Delivered with clinical rigour.

All Aurora Cloud Clinic programs are:

  • Clinician-led and evidence-based
  • Delivered in structured group formats
  • Supported by experienced mental health professionals
  • Assessed for suitability prior to commencement

Participants are guided through a structured weekly schedule, with clear treatment goals and ongoing clinical oversight.
